Social Networking Sites for Health and Fitness

I recently came across an article about some social networking sites which focus on health and fitness. You can find the article here. I have been using traineo (one of the sites listed).

The reason I liked this site and would recommend it to everybody is that the site has interesting graphical representations of various aspects such as your weight loss, activities during the day, diet etc. The graphical representation helps you to have a better understanding of where you stand in terms of progress towards your goals. It also allows you to network with other people who are interested in similar goals. The best part it is free. I log my weight everyday in the morning and my activities everyday in the evening. The activities are used to calculate the number of calories that you have burned based on the amount of time you spent on the activity.

The site allows you to have a set of people as motivators who can help you keep on the path of progress. There are some professionals also available who can give you advise towards your goals (you have to pay for the professional service). Check it out. Hope it helps you in your weight loss or other health related goals.
